Bikes+Life customers include competitive racers and triathletes, mountain bikers, commuter cyclists and the casual rider. Their broad selection of bikes and gear fit any fitness goal and activity level. As Creative Director for TKO, Matt Merkel helped in the launch of this start-up retailer by developing the brand, graphic identity, messaging platform, website, digital and print marketing and events promotions.
As a result of this partnerhsip, the bike chain has grown in three years from a single location to a national franchise of six retail outlets and strong online e-commerce presence with continuing expansion planned. With a robust brand identity and consistent digital marketing, Bikes+Life has been able to reach its goal of creating a ‘third place’ where cyclists of all levels can buy and service their bikes and gear, meet other riders and participate in rides, events and clinics.
